Greetings!
At the latest meeting of the Western Massachusetts Library Advocates (WMLA) Board of Directors, the Directors unanimously approved sponsoring 4 individuals from western Massachusetts to attend the Partners in Advocacy program November 5, 2011, in Worcester. WMLA will cover the $25.00 registration fee plus up to $30.00 in travel expenses with the stipulation that each sponsored participant shall submit a brief report on the program to the Board. These sponsorships will be awarded on a first come basis so apply right away.
Partners in Advocacy: Strategic Storytelling is hosted by the Massachusetts School Library Association, the Massachusetts Library Association and the Massachusetts Library System and will be held at the Student Services Center, Worcester State University on Saturday, November 5, 2011, 10 am – 3 pm. Nancy Dowd leads a fast-paced and engaging experience on collecting, creating and communicating stories to communicate a unified voice about the value of Massachusetts’s libraries.
